Much like the famous Charles Dickens novel, Thornhill is a tale of two cities—the City of Vaughan west of Yonge Street and the City of Markham east of Yonge Street, while sharing its most southern boundary with Toronto.
The newer region of Thornhill has flourished from its beginnings in a marvelous collection of contemporary home subdivisions, shopping centers, community buildings, and top-notch schools. While the old village of Thornhill is bolstered by adjacent ravine parkland.
Thornhill’s population of 110,430 is also host to the Thornhill Village heritage area, Uplands Golf and Country Club, the Bayview Golf and Country Club and the Promenade Shopping Centre.
