Richmond Hill was Canada’s fastest growing community in the 1990s, is located in the southern York Region, and is a stalwart of the GTA. An economically sound town, Richmond Hill has a propensity for business, finance, industry, and healthcare, and is home to the formerly second largest telescope in the world, the David Dunlap Observatory telescope.
With a population of 185,541 as of 2011, it’s the third-highest populated municipality in the York Region. It’s a convenient centralized location as it’s only 20 kilometres north of Toronto’s downtown core.
